Money Musings 💭 Take the quiz
The New Year is a time when many of us are updating our financial plans. This means looking at our 2022 spending plan against what we’re planning to earn and what we’d like to allocate towards our goals.
The Fiscal Femme started as a blog but shortly thereafter I started seeing clients as a money coach. What I found is that the tedious task of tracking spending is what keeps many people from budgeting and having an understanding of where their money is going.
I use a spreadsheet for this, but it does take a fair amount of time each month. As people’s finances get more complicated or we partner up or add a kid (or more), the tracking exercise takes even longer.
So my question to you… is there an app for that?
I know there are millions of (well many, many) budgeting apps. But, is there one that allows you to easily track your spending and create your own categories? One that syncs with your cards and banks?
Bonus points if the app allows you to plan for the future, too!
Extra bonus points if you share the downsides of it.
I’m excited and grateful for your thoughts!
Okay, I also have something for you!
The 30-Day Money Cleanse came out 3 years ago! Time FLIES.
In honor of that anniversary, I’m launching a fun (and free) financial wellness quiz: Are you a Financial Adult?

MONEY MOVE OF THE WEEK
SET YOUR MONEY INTENTION FOR THE YEAR.
New Year, fresh start. If you were to sum up your ideal financial life in one word (or even phrase), what would it be? There are no wrong answers. Ease? Freedom Confidence?
Whatever you choose, you want this to be a word that elicits a positive physical response. It makes you feel good.
Remind yourself of your money intention often. Make it the background of your phone, have it pop up with your morning alarm clock and share the word with your money buddies. Make it a good one because when we set intentions they usually come true!
