Money Musings 💭 Why I live for making YOU wealthy 💰

Money Musings 💭 Why I live for making YOU wealthy 💰

The Fiscal Femme’s mission is to get women (aka YOU) wealthy.

That sounds nice but why is financial wellness important? Why should you want to get wealthy?

Please note, condensing this into a few paragraphs took some major edits. I could talk about this ALL day.

Financial wellness…

💰 Gives you agency over your time and choices. It’s not necessarily about the money but what it gives you. That’s ULTIMATE freedom.

💰 Improves your mental health. Financial well-being decreases stress and provides peace of mind.

💰 Provides us the space to show up at work and be more present for our careers. In a PWC study, 41% of employees reported that financial stress has impacted productivity at work.

💰 Is a necessity! Women experience the pink tax, pay gaps, wealth gaps, retirement gaps, higher interest rates for the same credit profile, investing gaps, AND live longer than men on average.

This is only compounded if you are a woman of color, part of the LGBTQ+ community, have a disability or are a mother.

💰 Gives you the power to walk away from people and situations that aren’t serving you or are even harmful. Studies show that 99% of abuse comes with some form of financial abuse.

💰 Benefits others in our life as well. Women invest 90% of their money back into their families and communities - compared with 35% for men.

Overall, when women are wealthy it’s better for individuals, children and families, companies, and the economy as a whole - and there are MANY stats to back this up.

Are you feeling motivated yet?! 👏👏👏 Hit reply and tell me what motivates you to get wealthy. I’d love to hear!

MONEY MOVE OF THE WEEK

GOAL SETTING SERIES: STEP #1 - LIST OUT YOUR GOALS.

Set a timer for 5 (or even 10 minutes) ⏲️ and list out your goals. Goals could be anything from building a rainy day fund or paying down debt to buying a home, taking a dream vacation or starting a family.

While some goals might not seem financial, most goals require money in one way or another. So don’t be shy. List out the things you’d like to do, have and experience this year and in the future.

I give myself some time for this exercise so there’s space to dream. You might have some goals already top of mind and others that you haven't dreamed up yet!

Plus, I’ve noticed that my kids have gotten less picky now that they are offered more variety at meal time. This variety was first met with some resistance but then they got used to it!

Here are some of my favorite recipe sites for healthy-ish, easy-ish, and delicious meal ideas. Most are recommendations from you all!
